A Stronger Philippines
The Philippines, a country of the Asian continent. A country right atop the Pacific Ring of Fire. And, one of the archipelago nations of the world, known for being rich in natural resources, though as recent years have shown, this may not be the case. Many of our natural resources are slowly but very much depleting. As a Filipino myself, I strive to help our country to be more resilient and strong against the many challenges facing the country.
One of the first things we can do is help advocate for the limitation of the excessive use of our resources. One is the declining amount of fish in our sea because of many factors, like dynamite fishing. Another is the deforestation and balding of mountains, which may cause sudden flooding, landslides and other related disasters. There also is the event where land that was for farming suddenly becomes infertile. But this is not to say that all of these are manmade problems, some may just aswell be natural.
Because of the location of the Philippines, the country is affected by many natural disasters. Like other Southeast Asian countries, the country is also susceptible to typhoons and droughts. Though saying this, we should work hard to be resilient enough to fight these challenges. Let us work together to help protect, not only the country, but also us from harm. Staying Strong Philippines!
